Hambleside Danelaw at Ecobuild 2014

At this year’s Ecobuild Hambleside Danelaw showcased their Dryseal GRP roofing system for flat and low pitched roofs in the NFRC’s Roofing Pavilion at ExCeL London, to demonstrate how the market-leading UK manufactured product can help save customers money under the CompetentRoofer scheme whilst taking advantage of Green Deal work.

With a long proven presence in domestic, commercial and public sector buildings, the BBA approved system is ideal for meeting the ECO/CSCo requirements and it carries a 20-year insured guarantee. For refurbishment projects when thermal performance is being increased under the Green Deal, Dryseal allows the work to be done without need for any structural changes and when installed in a warm roof configuration can achieve a U-value as low as 0.18w/m2K. It is also suitable for use as a primary waterproofing membrane, including green roof applications. The carbon footprint of the GRP materials in the Dryseal system is only 13 kgCO2em-2 following installation, over 80% less than other traditional materials. Easy to fit, Dryseal is aesthetically attractive and perfect for tackling diverse detailing requirements. It has been recognised as a sensible alternative to metal roofing materials, such as lead, zinc, stainless steel and copper, which means that it can be increasingly found on the roofs of listed buildings.

Whether for new build or over-roofing, the system can totally encapsulate the roof with a single material and it is very cost-competitive. Dryseal should only be installed by a Hambleside Danelaw trained Approved Contractor to ensure quality workmanship.
