When Harborough Field Surgery, Nottinghamshire, moved location they sought the help of Desso to supply them with a combination of Libra Planks and Pallas carpet tiles.
Will Ellisgood of Peter Haddon and Partners, Nottinghamshire, specified the carpet tiles for the relocated surgery and said: “Libra Planks were selected for their design creativity and Pallas due to its versatile, practical and aesthetic qualities.”
The brief encompassed a floorcovering that would be durable and hardwearing enough to cope with the high volume of foot traffic passing through the surgery on a daily basis. Both Libra planks and Pallas are structured loop pile carpet tiles suitable for heavy contract applications. Carpet tiles offer a simple floorcovering solution providing easy installation, flexible design options and straightforward access to repair or replace worn or dirty tiles.
Colours and texture were important in providing a calm and relaxing environment for the patients and staff at Harborough Field Surgery. Libra planks, available in two complementary directional designs, horizontal and vertical, were used for aiding traffic through the surgery reception and corridors. Chosen in shades of Light Brown, Blue and Grey, the colours reflect the amiable atmosphere needed for the surgery. Libra planks are ideal for all interior schemes with the innovative 250 x 2,000mm plank format allowing endless design possibilities that can be used to complement surroundings, or highlight walkways and different areas.
Rich Brown shades of Pallas were chosen for the remaining areas in the surgery and consultation rooms, reflecting warmth and generating homely connotations in the minds of the patients. Available in 36 modern shades, Pallas offers a wide colour palette suitable for numerous interior environments.
