Heald Ltd have been recognised with the Highly Commended award at the ADS Annual Security Innovation Awards. Presented at the Security & Policing Exhibition Dinner by James Brokenshire, minister for security, it was given for the Matador sliding bollard system. The only product of its type to win an award, the Matador was well received as a new and innovative security solution. The unique design of the Matador has been proven to stop vehicular attack and allows safe pedestrian access. As a surface mount solution, the Matador can be fitted on a temporary or permanent basis. It is quick and easy to install. Crash tested to PAS68 standard, the Matador achieved zero penetration and zero dispersion. It is truly formidable defence against hostile vehicle attack. The awards recognise innovation at its best in the UK security industry, are judged by a combination of Home Office, Industry and ADS experts and are presented at the annual Security & Policing Exhibition Dinner.
