Heathrow Academy, Heathrow Airport, London

11 Dec 2008

Client: British Airports Authority
Project architect: Bennett Associates
Type of works: external cladding to walls and roof soffit

With its wing-like roof profile and full-height glazed facades, the Heathrow Academy is a welcome addition to the often-bland Heathrow architectural environment.

Because of the material's unique properties, Architects Bennett Associates chose ALUCOBONDŽ panels for the roof soffit, gently curving the cladding towards each end.

The panels were fabricated by Glasgow-based Booth-Muirie Ltd.
