Spiral Construction produces a range of staircase designs which offer a stunning visual feature to any building. The companys stairs are individually designed and manufactured enabling them to combine a number of materials and finishes to produce a striking addition to any project.
Helical stairs are offered with a central spine beam or parallel side stringers. Flat plate, channel or tubular sections can be used. This type of circular stair requires site welding so stringers are normally supplied in a primer finish for site painting.
Treads can be supplied in smooth steel plate for carpeting or as a tray to receive screed or concrete by others. Alternatively treads can be timber or natural stone.
Timber
The use of timber for the treads and risers, combined with steel stringers, gives a warm feel that complements the clean lines of the metalwork.
The company also offers timber handrails which are particularly popular for domestic applications.
Steel
The strength and versatility of steel makes it the ideal material for helical stairs. Stairs can have a central spine or parallel side stringers with open or closed risers. Stair design is a key element with any helical stair and steel can be used to great effect.
Steel trays can be made to accept screed so the stair can be covered with a choice of many materials.
Generally the steel stairs are primed and cleaned for painting by the client for a polished finish.
