Hermetically sealing doors

The Webster Theatre in Arbroath is set to be the latest in a line of distinguished locations to benefit from Envirodoor’s hermetically sealing acoustic door.

The theatre has ordered a custom-built 2.5 x 3.5m AM 2P automated-sliding acoustic door, boasting a noise reduction of 50dB. The high noise reduction is possible because of the unique closing and sealing mechanism. The weight of the door actively presses on the seals, making them tighter than a standard seal. This gives them superior sealing qualities at the head, jams and cylinder.

A similar type of acoustic door has been used in several other high-profile recording studios, universities and theatres.
