Access Builders of Manchester chose TLX Gold for the re-roof of a 1930s semi-detached house and extension, to meet Building Regulations' rule that where 25% or more of a roof is being renovated, the thermal performance must be upgraded. The project was a complex roof and involved multiple roof lines and gulleys and it was important that the roof line wasn't altered.

TLX Gold is a unique two-in-one multi-foil and roofing membrane which delivers a less intrusive energy improvement. It is installed in the same way as standard roofing tile underlay and in this instance was specified to ensure the roofing line of property didn’t alter.

• The project took only one day per side to strip and re-roof
• The thermal performance of the property was improved at same time
• TLX Gold overcame the technical and structural problems of raising the roofline and met the 15 year payback rule.
