Type of works: implementation of the Flowcrete Floorzone Solution, including Peran STB Classic, Isowarm underfloor heating and Isocrete K-Screed.

Flowcrete has used its unique and environmentally-friendly Floorzone concept for a floor refurbishment project in the custody suites of Huddersfield Magistrates Court in West Yorkshire.

Flowcrete’s Floorzone Solution, which involves the installation of a cementitious leveling floor screed combined with underfloor heating underneath a seamless and contemporary resin floor finish, was chosen for health, hygiene and safety features. The Floorzone Solution builds up the surface of the floor from substrate to finish and comes complete with a single-source warranty.

Combined over 1,500 sq m of specialist flooring products have been installed across a 500 sq m area including Flowcrete’s fast-drying semi-dry cementitious floor screed, Isocrete K-Screed, energy-saving underfloor heating system, Isowarm and colourful quartz flooring solution, Peran STB Classic.

Peran STB Classic provides a decorative and slip-resistant floor finish with a seamless finish that eliminates the cracks and crevices where dirt can dwell to deliver a best-in-class hygienic surface. Not only delivering heat where it is needed most, from the ground upwards, Isowarm offers a number of environmental benefits including energy savings of up to 30% compared to traditional central heating or air conditioning systems.
