Type of works: supply and installation of Polyflor Classic Mystique PUR heavy-duty sheet and tile vinyl flooring.

Two newly acquired Iceland stores have been installed with Polyflor Classic Mystique PUR heavy duty sheet and tile vinyl flooring from commercial flooring specialists Polyflor Ltd.

The stores – in Stoke Newington and Kilburn, London - have both been fitted throughout with a combination of 2mm gauge sheet and 608 x 608mm tile in decorative Shoreline, part of a 16-colour range.

Non-directionally patterned Polyflor Classic Mystique PUR features a high quality polyurethane reinforcement which, combined with a superior closed surface finish, facilitates a low cost, polish-free maintenance regime for the lifetime of the flooring, achieving savings of up to 48% compared with untreated vinyl flooring.

Polyflor Classic Mystique PUR achieves a BRE Global environmental A+ rating for retail installations (certification no. ENP336). This is based on a life cycle analysis approach over a building’s life of 60 years. The PUR feature of this product greatly influences the A+ rating through its polish-free and reduced chemicals maintenance and water usage reduction of 55%. In addition, Classic Mystique PUR contains on average 25% recycled material and can easily be recycled again at the end of its life.

The flooring meets the performance requirements of EN 649 and, fully tested to fire safety standard EN 13501-1, is certified as Class Bfl-S1, achieving the criteria EN ISO 9239-1 ≥8kw/m² and the mandatory requirement of EN ISO 11925-2 pass.

In common with all Polyflor sheet vinyls, Polyflor Classic Mystique PUR can be welded at the seams and to coved skirtings to create continuous, impervious surfaces that offer no sanctuary to dirt and bacteria.
