Injection of colour for polish-free PUR range

Polyflor's range of Classic Mystique PUR heavy duty vinyl flooring has been brightened up by the incorporation of six new colour shades that add vibrancy and warmth to the collection.

The new tones - Cornbrook, Cloudburst, Delta Blue, Sunblaze, Coral Drift and Wild Mint - perfectly complement the ten remaining shades and offer a striking aesthetic quality when used independently or together with other colours in the palette.

"As always we have responded to market demand," commented Simon James, Polyflor's Marketing Manager. "We introduced the new shades as a direct result of listening to customers and their needs. We now have an even better balance of colour for this range of 16 attractive, high performance and polish-free products."

Non-directionally patterned Classic Mystique PUR features Polyflor's high quality polyurethane reinforcement (PUR) which is cross-linked and UV cured for optimum strength. This treatment, combined with a superior closed surface finish, facilitates a low cost, lifetime polish-free maintenance regime, achieving savings of up to 48% compared with untreated vinyl flooring. The PUR feature significantly reduces chemical usage and reduces water usage by up to 55% compared to traditional maintenance procedures.

The product achieves the highest possible BRE Global Environmental A+ Rating (certificate No ENP336 in the Green Guide to Specification) in the major use areas of health and education. This is based on a life cycle analysis approach over a building's life of 60 years.

In common with all Polyflor sheet vinyls, Polyflor Classic Mystique PUR can be welded at the seams and to coved skirtings to create continuous, impervious surfaces that offer no sanctuary to dirt and bacteria. Independent test results demonstrate that it inhibits the growth of MRSA on the flooring. An effective cleaning regime is, however, the most important defence against infection.

Classic Mystique PUR meets the performance requirements of EN 649 and, fully tested to fire safety standard EN 13501-1, is certified as class Bfl-S1, achieving the criteria EN ISO 9239-1 ≥8kw/m² and the mandatory requirement of EN ISO 11925-2 pass.

Polyflor Classic Mystique PUR is manufactured using 25% recycled materials and is 100% recyclable.
