Integrated access for Oxford University

Integrated access for Oxford University

Sesame Access Systems provided their Mayfair Stairlift for the Old Indian Institute at Oxford University.

The Old Indian Institute is a Grade II Listed Building situated in Broad Street in the centre of Oxford, within the Central Oxford and University conservation area.

Built in 1884, the Old Indian Institute was financed entirely by private donors in India and Britain, for the sole purpose of constructing an edifice to house study for and on the Indian sub-continent.

Berman Guedes Stretton Architects specified Sesame as their access solutions are designed for all types of buildings including listed buildings and English heritage sites. Making them an ideal choice for this Grade II listed building.

The competition of this project mean Sesame Access Lifts are now featured at both Cambridge and Oxford Universities.
