Component Developments supplied drainage channels for a new, stylish, pay-as-you-train boutique gym near the Gherkin building in London.

Component Developments (CD) were approached to supply drainage channels to both the ground floor and lower ground floor showering areas, keeping in line with the industrial design theme and in doing so, helping to make the architect’s vision a reality.

Two stainless steel channel drains were fitted on the ground floor, each 3.7m in length, 180mm wide with a 75mm invert. On the lower ground floor, a further two of the same style channels were fitted, each 4.7m in length to reach along the shower cubicles.

Each of the channel’s include a built-in fall towards a stainless steel gully pot with a 75mm diameter side out-let, inside of which sits a removable stainless steel odour trap and large basket. This is then finished off with a stylish, easy-to-clean, stainless steel Heelsafe grating.
