Internal blinds: solar shading systems

Reflex-Rol solar-shading systems have been developed over the past 30 years for internal installation in buildings where solar gain and glare create problems. Based on metallic micro-embossed shading materials, systems use the sun’s benefits whilst curbing its excesses. Fine metal particles are thinly spread throughout the material to allow controlled amounts of natural light to filter in without glare, whilst a degree of external visibility is maintained. The even light entering the room enables guidelines on light intensity on computer screens, between 200 and 400cd/m², to be met.

Micro-embossing increases the surface area, further enhancing light control and reflective powers and rendering external appearances matt. The technical properties of the material enable the system to deliver a shading performance that fabrics can only match when fitted externally.

Dependent upon material selected, over 85% of solar gain can be prevented from entering.
