Isocrete Self Level Screeds – At The Foundation Of UK Construction Projects

A new brochure has been produced, highlighting the tailor-made range of products manufactured by Flowcrete UK under their Isocrete Self Level Floor Screeds range.

Available to view at the brochure explores how the products combine speed, strength, substance and sustainability – and balance the latest in technology and innovation with a time-proven formula designed to perform under pressure.

Developed for both new build and refurbishment environments, Isocrete’s Self Level Screeds meet BS 8204-7 criteria and offer superior compressive strength.

These flowable, self-smoothing products also offer a faster drying time, reduced shrinkage and can be laid at reduced thicknesses compared to semi-dry screeds.

A protein free formulation is designed not to harbour bacteria, and the screeds offer outstanding thermal conductivity when used with underfloor heating.

Since the 1960s, Isocrete screeds have been the product of choice for architects and specifiers on some of the world’s biggest projects.

They have been used extensively in industrial and commercial areas including airports and transport sites, hotels and leisure developments, healthcare environments, residential sites, offices, shopping centres, schools, colleges and universities.

Today’s self level range builds on that heritage, with the introduction of new innovations in both product and service delivery to maintain their industry-leading position.

Alan Dean, managing director of Flowcrete UK, said: “A major development has been the removal of Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) from self levelling products - a move representing considerable research and development as part of our quest to reduce the carbon footprint of our products.

“Isocrete Self Level Screeds can also be specified and installed under Flowcrete UK’s project management service, Isocrete Project Management.

“The service offers a single source route, extending from the initial project consultation process, through to warranty and aftercare.

“Operating throughout the key stages of a project, the management process offers a bespoke service from initial consultation, product specification, product manufacture and logistics management, through to product installation from a trained Flowcrete approved contractor - and all backed by a comprehensive product and installation warranty.”

For commercial areas, Isocrete Self Level Screeds include Isocrete 1500, a general all-purpose product, designed for the all-purpose levelling of surfaces prior to the installation of floor finishes.

Isocrete 4000 is a quicker and thicker smoothing screed, ideal for small areas, while Isocrete 5000 offers a course, fast-cure screed, suitable for patch repair and filling.

Isocrete Self Level Base is ideal for repairs and filling, and, where speed counts, Isocrete Self Level Plus is a very fast-drying screed, best suited to large areas.

The commercial range is complemented with the robust glass mesh reinforced product Isocrete Self Level Renovation, which is developed for substandard substrates, and Flowcem, a thin self-smoothing screed and damp proof membrane combined into one product.

Finally, Flowscreed Industrial Top is the product of choice for industrial applications, designed as a high strength floor topping to be used in conjunction with a resin floor finish.
