Sapphire Balustrades has added the new 280,000 sq ft flagship John Lewis store in Cardiff to its impressive list of major retail projects.

The store is Wales’ largest and saw Sapphire’s Jasper flat baluster system installed to all escalator atriums. The Onyx range of stainless-steel handrails was also used for several sets of stairs throughout the multi-storey building.

Sapphire specialises in the sector and routinely manufactures and installs bespoke display guards, bump rails, access gates, merchandise walling and escalator abutments. The main contractor presented Sapphire with an award in recognition of its outstanding specification and installation service.
