Kensa Heat Pump for timber framed eco-house

Kensa Heat Pump for timber framed eco-house

An 8kW Kensa Single Compact Heat Pump has been specified for a timber framed eco-house heated using renewable energy. Two 40m long horizontal “slinky” loops were placed in the neighbouring field and absorbs renewable energy from the ground to heat this imaginative barn conversion.

The heating distribution system into the building is via a “wet” underfloor heating system designed for a heat pump system. The heat pump was positioned in a purpose built ‘lean to’ next to the main building to reduce any possible noise issues. Running costs are lower than conventional heating systems and annual servicing (and the associated costs with this) are no longer required.
