Kermi Shower Enclosure And Designer Towel Rails – For Contemporary “House By The Water”

Kermi Shower Enclosure And Designer Towel Rails – For Contemporary “House By The Water”

Client: Nigel and Lysette Offley
Contract Form: JCT design and build
Contract Location: Henley-on-Thames, Oxford

Kermi towel radiators and shower enclosure perfectly complemented the bathrooms of this challenging futuristic build by the river in Oxford, which featured recently on TV’s Grand Designs.

Modern architecture obsessed Lysette and Nigel Offley build a dramatic new cutting edge home smack bang in the middle of a Thames riverside community dominated by expensive traditional houses. It’s a battle not only against their indignant neighbours, but the river itself.

A contemporary home designed by architect, Chris Tapp, taking inspiration from the river - with waves and curves, a huge glass porthole of a roof-light and a basement room with a window designed to be partially submerged when the water level rises. Overcoming huge unforeseen obstacles, they achieved their vision of a building that will change the architectural language of the river forever.
