Kaba Door Systems has provided automatic doors for the new Klondyke Group Garden Centre, Houghton Hall near Carlisle.
Working with Fordingbridge PLC, Kaba installed a total of eight SLM straight sliding automatic door systems across the 18 acre site, including four sets of bi-parting doors to the main entrance. Telescopic and telescopic bi-parting doors have been installed to the restaurant, main plants areas and feature buildings.

Kaba was awarded the contract having completed a series of successful automatic door installations for Klondyke in the past. Project Manager, Chris Mackie said: “Klondyke instructed Fordingbridge PLC, to specify Kaba Door Systems for the project, as we have been happy with their performance in the past. Installation of the doors was done efficiently and caused no disruption to other construction works. The doors have been operating well and we would specify Kaba Door Systems again.”

The door systems ensure that access requirements under the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) are fully met.
