Landmark design

A stunning motif featuring the national flags and landmark buildings from five European countries was designed by pupils in collaboration with Polyflor’s Expressions Design Service for Parklands High School, a specialist language college in Chorley, Lancashire.

Installed in the school dining room by CRT Flooring Specialists Ltd of Chorley using Polyflor 2000 PUR, the motif represents some of the languages on offer for pupils. Polyflor’s Expressions Design Service specialises in creating unique, tailor-made floors by using advanced water-jet cutting techniques to create precise shapes and styles for inlaid decoration.

“The floor is beautifully crafted, a constant reminder of a key focus for our school. It is also a wonderful tribute to the talent of our pupils and Polyflor and an excellent example of team work - we are all really proud of the outcome.” explains Claire Hollister, Headteacher.

“The pupils and staff love it. It looks fantastic, is easy to clean and durable making it perfect for a busy dining area.”

Polyflor 2000 PUR offers a range of 20 multi-tone shades, each featuring two base shades and two highlight tones. The high quality polyurethane reinforcement, combined with a superior closed surface finish, can cut maintenance costs by up to 48% by facilitating a low cost, polish-free maintenance regime for the lifetime of the floorcovering.

Polyflor 2000 PUR achieves a BRE Global environmental A+ rating over a 60-year service life (ENP 336) and is 100% recyclable at the end of its life.
