Laureate Heights gets Westerland's A+ treatment

A Persimmon Homes development in Devon features approximately 40,000 Westerland slate from Cembrit, which give a natural, authentic appearance to the properties. Supplied in Blue/Black, the slates are attractive, durable and a perfect fibre cement alternative to natural slate.

Laureate Heights is a small development of just 85 homes situated to the north of Sidmouth. With easy access to the town centre and seafront, the architecture of the properties has been conceived with high attention to detail. Each home is finished in either combination of brick or render and attractively roofed with the Westerland slate.

A representative of Persimmon Homes said "We aim to work with sustainable products, and since Cembrit’s fibre cement range was awarded a Certificated Environmental Profile with Green Guide ratings of A and A+, these slates were our first choice. In addition, the dressed edge of Westerland gives a perfect natural look to the project.”
