Lauriston School has embarked upon an ambitious project to enhance their facilities, with the help of architects Meadowcroft Griffin and the local school community. An £8.2 million project that will benefit pupils, parents and staff, the scheme, which has been designed to build upon the school’s creative school status, will see the building expanded from single form entry to two form entry.

The project, which has been completed whilst the current school was in operation, has seen the new two form entry primary school built on a restricted urban site. The project has managed to double the built area and increase the external play space with all classrooms sharing an equality of learning environment, with high levels of natural daylight, ventilation and views to the greenery of the site.

As part of the project, Meadowcroft Griffin Architects, who were commissioned by The Learning Trust on behalf of the London Borough of Hackney, specified an architectural hardware package from Strada. Working with contractor Neilcott Construction, Strada provided stainless-steel safety lever handles with matching accessories.
