Leaderflush Shapland’s Smart Doorset Access Solution

Leaderflush Shapland’s Smart Doorset Access Solution

Leaderflush Shapland, the UK’s leading performance doorset manufacturer, has added the Abloy UK Smartair access control system to its range of architectural ironmongery. This gives the protection of technologically sophisticated access-control without the need for a complex online system – ideal for a wide range of building applications including schools, offices, healthcare and leisure centres.

The Smartair RFID (radio frequency identification) technology allows the user to simply present their Smartair card in proximity to the lock to gain access. Not only is it easy to use and convenient, but contactless-chip technology ensures that the system is durable and requires minimal maintenance. In addition, all the control elements apart from the reader are located on the inner side of the door, making it vandal-resistant.

Each door is a stand-alone unit with the wireless system being managed from a PC giving complete central control of door security. User access information is created and stored within Smartair’s software which can be modified as required. Audit trails track and monitor door usage and access levels can be varied for multiple users across time and area zones. Lost cards can be simply deactivated negating the need for costly replacement of cylinders.

Smartair is available with a range of contemporary handles and metallic finishes and offers an optional electronic privacy function that can be activated from the inside, only allowing access by specifically authorised cards.

Leaderflush Shapland supplies a complete, end-to-end solution enabling architects and specifiers to obtain all their door and doorset requirements from one reliable source. A dedicated team of Guild of Architectural Ironmongery (GAI) qualified architectural ironmongers provides a full scheduling service, a doorset packing facility and project management. 13 Leaderflush Shapland employees were recently awarded GAI Diplomas – a record for a single company in one year.

Recent projects where a complete Leaderflush Shapland doorset and ironmongery solution has been specified include: Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham; Kingsway Hospital, Derby; Newcastle-Under-Lyme College; Greenwich Peninsula; Integrated Care Centre, Oldham; Broadfield School, North London; and Estover School, Plymouth.
