Gilgen Door Systems has supplied and installed fifteen industrial door systems for Western Power Distribution, Kettering.

Working with Speller Metcalfe, Gilgen provided two LPS 1175(issue 7) Level 4, Rolegard SR4 high security shutters and thirteen security rated steel hinged personnel doors as part of refurbishment project. The specification required extremely high security systems to protect equipment used for repair and maintenance of the electricity network and Gilgen Door Systems were the only company able to provide this solution.

The high security SR4 shutters feature double skin, heavy duty, flat faced profiles with added reinforcement for maximum resistance against aggressive attempts of forced entry. These shutters have been specifically designed for harsh, high risk environments and feature hurricane rated wind resistance profiles. Electrically operated, these shutters also feature automatic anti-jacking bolts with monitored battery back-up and a range of safety and activation devices.

The security, steel hinged personnel doors provide access and emergency fire escape around the whole building. The doors installed to the plant room entrances also feature louvre panels for increased ventilation.
