Lewisham Youth Centre delivered for young people

AV Danzer has delivered a modular building for the Lewisham Youth Centre (at Lewisham County Council). The previous Youth Club was a faded old building which was no longer fit for purpose so LCC commissioned them to create a brand new, anti-vandal facility for the young people in the area to enjoy.

Having been without any facilities on the site for over 3 years the young people of the area were more than ready to see a new building take shape on the site of the old one. The ew building comprises eight 24’ x 8’ steel anti-vandal units, with toilet facilities, disabled toilets, UPVC windows with added security grills, kitchen and storage areas. Av Danzer delivered a full turnkey service including ground works, organising utility connections, commissioning and fit out to create a bright, safe modern space for young people to meet and participate in activities together.

The new centre is sited in Honor Oak in Lewisham and the client and kids are absolutely delighted with the delivery. Commenting on the delivery of the Lewisham Youth Centre Dan Holloway said: “Youth Clubs are so important for communities as they give young people a place to gather safely and learn the skills needed to have full and meaningful lives. We are delighted to have been able to create this great space for Lewisham’s young people to enjoy.”
