Liniar, the innovative lead free window system from HL Plastics Limited, were one of the biggest window systems exhibitors at this year’s Greenbuild EXPO in Manchester. The contemporary stand design, coupled with the range of innovative sustainable window products on display really generated a buzz.

On display from the busy stand was an energy efficient EnergyPlus window which can achieve a U value of 0.8 without the need of using thermal inserts or steel reinforcement - making it ideal for Passivhaus installations. Also on show was the latest colour configuration of door sash and bespoke hardware for the best selling Bi-Fold Plus range of folding–sliding doors, complete with its Part M compliant ultra low threshold.

The most recent product innovation was also being showcased – the new Liniar flush sash window. The new window is designed to replicate the aesthetics of a traditional timber window, whilst encompassing all the advantages of a modern PVCu window. Featuring a multi-chambered profile, it can achieve a U value of 1.3 or when triple glazed, can achieve a 1.0 U value.

Liniar were one of the shows main sponsors, and feel that the added exposure they gained throughout the promotion of the professional event has really helped enhance the market’s perception of the organisation. Feedback gained at the show acknowledged them as a key player in the Commercial sector thanks to a fantastic product offering which already meets future green building agendas.

With its clever multi-chambered design providing high thermal values as standard without the need to use supplementary inserts, the system provides a very cost effective means of meeting the needs of the highest levels of the Code for Sustainable Homes and Zero Carbon Homes. The system also includes a unique thermal bridging profile to address the requirement to keep thermal transfer in check for the installed product as a part of these rigorous standards.
