Client: Loch Fyne Restaurant Group
Architect: PNW Design
Value: part of £1million project
Type of work: supply and installation of hygienic wall and ceiling cladding finishes for kitchen refit.

Hygienic wall and ceiling manufacturer/installer Advanced Hygienic Contracting has participated in the refurbishment and fit-out of restaurant and kitchens to Loch Fynes Didsbury Restaurant

Wall finishes to kitchen and prep areas that could be quickly and easily installed onto an existing plastered wall finish that would provide a maintenance-free fully-sealed finish, meeting the class 1 fire certification specified, were required. Suspended hygienic ceilings that would accommodate air conditioning and Foodsafe lighting were also required.

Within a 2 day window Advanced had to install 200m2 of Advanced PVC claddings. On the walls each sheet was fully bonded to plastered walls and held within a silicon-free gasket trim system. Corners were thermoformed on site to ensure a smooth joint-free radius that provides easy cleaning and prevents a buildup of dirt in room corners. The ceiling was fixed to a Foodsafe metal primary grid then the Advanced interlocking PVC plank ceiling was fixed. Each plank was bonded to adjacent planks to provide a sealed finish that was then sealed at all parameter junctions within the cladding system.

The work was completed within the time scale specified and all parameter junctions with vinyl floor coving, door frames, cold room and window architraves were all sealed to create a Foodsafe maintenance-free impact-resistant working area.

Jo Harbord, of Loch Fyne Restaurants said: “Today’s paying customers have extremely high expectations when visiting restaurants. Our menu features only the best produce, which, when combined with the impeccable food preparation cleanliness that Advanced’s cladding system has created, virtually guarantees customer satisfaction.”
