London Borough of Richmond trial installation sees 47% energy saving

The London Borough of Richmond has recently been one of the first to install DW Windsor’s new road lantern, the DW200.

With road and pedestrian safety a priority and forming part of a larger energy reduction programme for Twickenham, Arragon Road required a replacement road lantern that; could be retrofitted on-site to the existing 10 metre columns, provide a high output white light source and that would seamlessly blend with the mixed modern and Victorian architecture.

The new DW200’s featuring 140W CosmoPolis, replaced the ageing original sodium lanterns, instantly transforming the busy bus-route and residential scheme.

Following the successful trial installation, Simon Richardson of May Gurney, the London Borough of Richmond’s contractor commented: “we are impressed with DW Windsor’s new road lantern, which ticked all of the boxes; robust, aesthetically pleasing and quick and easy to install”
