M74 Raith Bridge, Motherwell 

Type of works: supplied Nucem Concrete of Deck Repair Rapid and Nugrout flowable Concrete

Nufins supplied Nucem Concrete of Deck Repair Rapid and Nugrout flowable Concrete to the M74 Raith Bridge Project.

Repairs to the bridge included remedial work to reconstruct an end abutment gallery to replace end ballast walls over the abutment, concrete repairs, replacement of bridge bearings, re­waterproofing and surfacing were also part of the works.

These products were chosen because of their robustness, suitability to application, and finishing characteristics.

Nucem Concrete is a versatile system that may be used in a number of applications such as:

• Repair material to both insitu and precast concrete
• Repair to floors and road wearing surfaces
• Screeding where abrasion and or/water resistance is
required
• Repairs to spalled columns and beams using formwork

Other materials supplied include; picon Injection Resin LV which is a thin structural repair epoxy resin crack filling grout.

Due to the uneven nature of the deck, Nufins supplied a levelling screed to improve the surface profile prior to waterproofing.
