Marsh treatment plant for national grid site

Marsh treatment plant for national grid site

Marsh Industries has been chosen to provide it's Ultra Polylok sewage treatment plant at the national grid site on the Isle of Grain. The national grid site on the Isle of Grain is a very sensitive environmental area, from the site liquefied pressurised gas and electricity is distributed to the Southern UK, France & Belgium.

The site required a sewage plant able to treat raw sewage to 15:15:10 standard. Due to the high water table plant had to be installed above ground. The discharge from the sewage plant was directly sent into the Thames/Medway estuary. The Marsh UP was installed to replace the existing sewage plant that failed consent standards.

Marsh worked with National & International contractors on the preparation of tenders & H&S procedures for the site. The plant has performed better than the 15:15:10 standard set by the EA, and was supplied by a 90mm rising main.
