McDonalds Restaurant, Leicester Eastgates

7 Feb 2010

Client: McDonalds
Type of works: supply and installation of Urimat ecoplus waterless urinals.

Urimat ecoplus urinals have been installed in over 400 McDonalds restaurants throughout the United Kingdom to date, as well as throughout Europe. This represents a huge saving of precious drinking water. This case study shows the installation at the Leicester Eastgates restaurant, where six units were fitted.

McDonalds have utilised the powerful advertising media of the display by having their own version of the Urimat water saving message inserted on all their urinals.

McDonalds have a strong environment policy, and by this means, they can make the public aware that they are doing their bit to help save water and reduce their carbon footprint. One of the urinals is mounted at a lower height for ease of use by children.
