Meadowside School, Quedgeley, Gloucestershire

16 Sep 2008

Client: Gloucester County Council
Contractor: Beam Construction, Cheltenham
Type of works: supply and installation of a tanked system, incorporating water harvesting for lavatory flushing.

Meadowside Primary School Quedgeley was funded by Gloucestershire County Council. 2,200m2 of Aquaflow was used in the car parking and playground area. A tanked system was developed collecting water and using it to flush lavatories. An increased depth of the sub base was utilised by designers to provide greater storage volume.

Since opening in 2000, it has been stated that only harvested water, from the tanked system, has been used to flush the lavatories.
