Type of works: design, manufacture and site installation of manually operated vehicle access gates.

Following serious storm attack in 1990, Booth was commissioned by Tarmac to provided the design, manufacture and site installation of 2 manually operated vehicle access gates on the Minehead sea front as part of the sea defence scheme in 1997.

The gate provided beach access to vehicles and leisure craft whilst providing resistance to flood attack from rising sea level and from foreign body impact. Manual operation was provided by heavy-duty hinges and extended design life provided by all stainless-steel construction.
