Mepolam Elegance is a flexible, densely-compacted homogeneous multipurpose floorcovering, which offers high performance, weighs less than 3kg/m˛ and has an innovative true non-directional design in 33 colours which range from neutral to bold shades.
Available in tile and sheet formats, the range includes Elegance EL5, a conductive flooring, and Elegance SD, a slip resistant product for showers and bathrooms.
Mipolam Elegance is suited to a wide range of design schemes. Its non-directional multi-tonal design incorporates coloured chips which are dyed prior to being added to the raw mixture. The coloured chips ensure an even colour throughout the thickness of the product while creating a 3D effect. The light weight of the product, due to a high content of PVC and low rates of mineral fillers, is combined with flexibility, making it easy to install.
Hard wearing, the flooring is suitable for heavy duty traffic areas, complies with EN 649 (34-43) and has a group P (K5) wear rating. The flooring is anti-static, anti-bacterial and anti-fungicidal.
In common with many Gerflor products, Mipolam Elegance is treated with a polyurethane surface treatment, PUR Protect, and has excellent cleaning characteristics. It does not require the application of acrylic polishes during its lifetime, making maintenance easy and saving costs. Restoration may be achieved through dry buffing and the flooring is suitable for use with alcohol-based cleaning fluids typically found in cleanrooms.
From an environmental perspective, Mipolam Elegance uses up to 25% recycled material, is REACH - (Recording Evaluation and Authorization of Chemical Hazards) - compliant and has VOC emissions that are 40 times lower than required by European standards.
