N & C launches innovative adhesive technology

N & C (Nicholls and Clarke) has recently launched N & C Nicobond Gypfix, a new, innovative, rapid setting, white, gypsum based tile adhesive specially designed for fixing ceramic, porcelain and natural stone tiles to Anhydrite/ Calcium Sulphate floors.

The high strength adhesive achieves levels of bond strength on a par with traditional C2 category cement based adhesives. The product performs exceptionally well with undertile heating and other forms of UFH (under floor heating). Priming is not required in most cases and there is no risk of Ettringite with the product. Nicobond Gypfix is easy to mix and apply and is suitable for all formats of tiles.

Nicobond Gypfix has been formulated for use on Lafarge Gyvlon screeds and a number of installations have now been successfully carried out. It is suitable for floors with up to 85% RH (1% by weight) and has a long open time.
