Alutec has added its new Flush-fit Downpipe sizes to its BIM offering, enabling specifiers to design a complete rainwater or eaves system with just a few clicks of a button.
Designed to offer increased options for a broad spectrum of properties, the new Flush-fit Downpipes have been introduced in response to customer demand for greater sizing variety. The new sizes build on the success of the existing 76mm circular and 72x72mm square options, which have proven extremely popular since their launch.
For small to medium size properties, the range now includes a 63mm circular design. At the larger end of the scale, a 102mm circular and 102x76mm and 102x102mm square options have also been added, giving specifiers, housebuilders and installers a much wider choice.
Brian Bell, Technical Services Manager from Alutec commented: “The 2016 deadline to achieve level 2 BIM compatibility on all centrally procured government projects is just around the corner, meaning more and more specifiers will be looking for BIM compliant products. The success of BIM implementation is heavily dependent on the provision of compatible and readily available components, which is why we are committed to ensuring our full product portfolio is in this format. We’re very proud to be at the front of the rainwater industry when it comes to embracing this new technology.”
Available in 21 standard colours, the Flush-fit downpipes are compatible with Alutec’s Evolve and Aligator aluminium guttering systems, offering a sleek aesthetic solution for contemporary building designs, thanks to its internal hidden downpipe joints. The architectural grade polyester powder coating ensures long lasting kerb appeal with excellent colour and gloss retention.
