New goods lift levels up in Sainsbury's

Compact, cost-effective and easy to install, Stannah’s brand new Levelmaster low-rise platform goods lift is stepping up stock movement in the Boldmere Road branch of giant UK superstore chain Sainsbury’s in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands.

Designed specifically for the movement of goods over a small change in level, the Levelmaster is making the working day safer and easier by carrying standard loads of up to 2000kg at a speed of 0.05mps over a distance of 760mm otherwise negotiated by four steps.

The through-car entrance configuration allows easy movement of goods on and off the lifting platform. Available in a wide range of platform sizes with a low pit requirement and flexible location of motor controller cabinet, the Levelmaster is ideal for use in restricted spaces.

Supplied in a self-supporting structure for fast, simple installation, the Levelmaster is a cost-effective solution for individual lifting requirements up to a maximum of 1500mm. Constructed with sheet steel panels, with glazed or stainless steel panelling available as an option, the enclosed platform ensures safety at all times. The platform is open with half-height sides with full-height door options available, and there is a choice of through or adjacent entrances. A range of hardwearing finishes maximises the lift’s lifetime, and constant pressure control buttons are conveniently located on the landing entrances.

Stannah Microlifts’ General Manager, Mark Chapman, is delighted with the installation of the new Levelmaster in a recognised retail environment: “What better test of our new Levelmaster platform goods lift than back-of-house in a busy branch of Sainsbury’s? Saving time and money, and increasing staff safety, it was installed and commissioned in just three days. Everyone benefits from optimised store operation – including the customers.”

Compliance with European product standards and observation of all Manual Handling Regulations ensure that the Levelmaster helps Sainsbury’s maintain its market-leading status.
