New modular classroom for Albion School

New modular classroom for Albion School

Av Danzer has been commissioned to build and install a temporary facility at the Albion school, enabling the school to have a larger intake of pupils. The production team at Danzer Limted built the 14 modules at our facility in Nottingham in just eight weeks.

On site the modules have been stacked 7 on 7 to provide a total of 400 sq metres of teaching and administration space. The building will be on site for around 3 years while the building work takes place.

The ground floor space will be used by the school as a multi purpose, open plan area which will serve as a temporary canteen and will include large cupboards for storing the canteen furniture. The school will also be able to use the space as an area for assemblies, perfomances or as a gym for PE classes. The first floor will provide a double classroom and staff office.

It took only two weeks for Danzer to complete and install the building. The extension expands the office space over the internal stairwell which maximizes every inch of available space and means that the school can now accommodate 5 staff in the space as opposed to the original 3. The installation team undertook all of the associated ground works including building timber ramps and steps, and an external canopy to provide shelter as students and staff enter and exit the building.
