New publication from Cavity Trays

Protecting the Building Envelope challenges some existing construction details but importantly explains why and highlights solutions. This new publication has 140 A4 colour pages of construction solutions accompanied with guidance notes to aid Architectural Technology professionals, architects, surveyors, builders and contractors.

The publisher is Cavity Trays Ltd, the only tray manufacturer awarded European Technical Approval and the longest established company within its specialised field. Cavity Trays Ltd also undertakes seminar presentations throughout the UK and is currently accepting bookings up to March 2014.

The new publication details new types of cavity tray to suit wider cavities in traditional and timber frame construction. Applications include building on contaminated land, acoustic suppression, fire barriers (up to four hours integrity), flashing options, damp prevention, damp arrestment and water evacuation. The Level Threshold Tray options have been increased as has the range of cavity closers with the Continuity Closer insulation option now being offered on various models providing a way towards compliant construction not available with conventional closers.
