Newly-Formed Schueco Subsidiary Company Will be Able to Serve the UK Market More Effectively

Schueco International KG, a global market-leader in innovative building envelope systems and renewable energy solutions, has announced that from 1st January 2010 its UK branch will become an independent, wholly-owned subsidiary company, Schueco UK Limited.

The management of Schueco UK Limited believes that as an independent fully-operational company, it will be better placed to adapt its business practices to fulfil the specific requirements of the UK and Irish construction markets. It will also enable it to improve still further its service offering, product range and commercial strategy to the ultimate benefit of its extensive network of partner companies.

As a result, the change in status – which comes into effect on the 25th anniversary of Schueco’s operations in the UK – is seen as a logical and welcome conclusion to what has been a gradual process of increasing functional independence from Schueco International KG over the last five years.

Schueco’s well-established and experienced UK management team will remain in place and handle the organisational and logistical requirements of transition in a thoroughly professional way in order to ensure that the day-to-day business of the company remains unaffected.

Schueco UK Limited will be a company limited by shares under the 2006 Companies Act, with its registered office at its present headquarters in Whitehall Avenue, Kingston, Milton Keynes MK10 0AL. All the assets and undertakings of the UK branch will be transferred to Schueco UK Limited, meaning that on 1st January 2010, it will have an opening balance sheet in excess of £20 million.
