D+H UK received the Special Mention Innovation Award for their work on the modernisation of Ocean Court at the National Maritime Museum, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Greenwich.
Over 50 KA chain drives in the façade, as well as 16 heavy-duty DXD rack and pinion drives in the roof, provide natural ventilation and operate according to the principle of cold smoke clearance in the event of a fire.
The project marks a technological milestone for D+H UK: as one of the first projects in the UK to feature 230 V technology, a touchscreen panel and full Modbus integration, it has laid the foundations for new standards.
