Nomow installation crews worked over a period of weeks to stabilise the existing sand base at St Mary's school by adding cement, creating a level surface suitable for the artificial grass to be installed on top.
Prior to Nomows arrival in 2011 the play equipment for this primary school was installed in an enormous sand pit. The sand had become contaminated over time with rubbish, dirt and all number of things no-one wants their children running around in, so the school brought in Nomow to upgrade the facilities and put it right.
The School saved £25,000, which is the estimated cost of having the entire sand base dug out and removed from site.
