Nu-Heats Hitachi YUTAKI ASHP Passes MCS With Flying Colours
Hitachis YUTAKI air source heat pump range has recently received MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) approval, giving access to grants and future payment eligibility for the governments proposed Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme.
Testing for UKAS accredited MCS approval from BRE Global included a visit to the manufacturing facility in Spain with checks on components, assembly and delivery capability. At BRE in Watford, the acoustics and performance checks were carried out. The YUTAKI application went straight through to approval without a hitch.
Sole UK supplier Nu-Heat is delighted with the approval. Nu-Heat went into partnership with Hitachi in 2009 specifically to add the YUTAKI to its product range and carried out its own rigorous in-house tests with various hot water cylinders and configurations. The company has recently launched an Energy Master cylinder solely for use with the YUTAKI.
Available in four models with varying outputs - from 5kW to 14kW - the YUTAKI has lived up to its promise with a 100% positive reaction from installations that have already taken place, including those that had to handle this years big freeze. It has also proved itself to be an ideal retrofit product, with excellent results from older properties.
Business Development Manager Andy Hooper says that the YUTAKI is probably the most efficient air source heat pump on the market. Now thats worth drinking to!
