When the opportunity arose to work on the 2012 Olympic Media Centre building, the Rooflight Company pulled out all the stops to ensure they met the strict delivery schedule.

There were strict requirements involved in the selection process. Not only was the clock ticking in terms of meeting a very strict delivery timescale, but the contractor (cbuildings.co.uk) was looking for a company with ISO 9001 accreditation and strict safety management, risk assessment and health and safety processes.

Twenty three Bespoke Plateau Rooflights were specified for this project with finished internal kerb dimensions of 1775mm x 1175mm. The rooflights were selected in Graphite Grey and feature Acoustic Clear Safety Laminate glazing and 2 glazing bars per rooflight.

The project was completed in 6 weeks from confirmation of the order.

The complex will cater for over 20,000 broadcasters, photographers and print journalists, bringing the 2012 Olympic Games to an estimated four billion people worldwide.
