Kwik-Klik installed a bespoke 2.5m high Kentledge hoarding system for Edinburgh Gin who are building a new distillery and visitor centre in the heart of the ‘Old Town’ in Scotland’s capital city.
The 135 linear metre outdoor worksite perimeter hoarding was installed in 5 days on a challenging urban site with steep gradients along two sides.
Over 300 square metres of site-specific branded hoarding graphics were prepared and applied by Kwik-Klik’s in-house Graphics team. A detailed site survey was needed to ensure the large format graphics worked with the gradients to achieve a balanced and professional finish.
Memorable quotations about gin and Edinburgh were featured in graphics along with the Edinburgh Gin logo.
Two sets of vehicular gates and four single leaf secure digi-lock personnel doors were incorporated into the hoarding to provide secure worksite access for materials and the construction teams.
Plug & Play bulkhead lights seen below were built into the public-facing facade of the hoarding to safely illuminate the public paths around the worksite.
The hoarding is expected to be in place for more than 12 months as the new Edinburgh Gin premises take shape. The architectural images suggest the new building will become a modern Edinburgh landmark which will attract many thousands of visitors in its first year.
