Over 230 metres of fencing secures Dudgeon Wind Farm

Alexandra Security was approached by Dudgeon Wind Farm after they were disappointed by a previous supplier.

Items were received on site damaged and two sets of gates couldn’t be manufactured according to the client’s requirements, and as this onshore facility had to be secure, no compromises could be made on the quality of materials used.

The project took nearly a year to complete with a number of complex areas requiring bespoke design solutions, all supported with CAD drawings. Like the gates for the craneway having a lift-up skirt to miss fouling on the floor when opening, due to the ground levels at the wind farm site.

In order to comply with the specification, Alexandra used Protek 358 Profile mesh, a new product for us, and if the anti-climb mesh and ‘V’ profile isn’t enough to deter intruders, all fence posts were extended to accommodate three runs of razor wire.

Over 230 metres of fencing and 4 gates were installed at this site.
