Ubbink have launched a new solar division for 2010 and are developing new system solutions, including in-roof, on-roof and flat-roof. These solutions have been designed around the Ubbink 220Wp photovoltaic panel and can integrate with any other manufacturers panels.
Ubbink domestic photovoltaic installations can reduce CO2 by over 30%, built to Part L 2006 standards, using renewable energy awards house builders additional bonus points within the Code for Sustainable Homes. Solar systems can be integrated into the roof in an unobtrusive and aesthetically pleasing way, adding value to the property.
Ubbink are pursuing a policy of innovation that can be defined by two terms; grid parity and building integration. Grid parity without government support could be a reality within a few years by cutting production costs and maximising power yield as the cost of fossil fuels continue to rise.
Building integration is also a very exciting Ubbink strategy, the next step is to seamlessly incorporate photovoltaic technology with solar thermal and turn the whole roof elevation into a complete solar solution.
