Physical Fencing
Vale supplies the full spectrum of fencing systems and installs it to any required standard or specification. Ranging from 358 welded mesh and StronGuard for high & maximum security sites, to sound reducing acoustic timber fencing for operational depos, sited near a residential area and decorative steel railings for areas that require an aesthetic solution.
Power/Electrified Fencing & PIDS (Perimeter Intrusion Detection System)
Electrified or power fence systems are designed to detect and deter attack. The fence detects attack and can differentiate between serious breaches of the fence and disturbances caused by wildlife, birds or weather conditions, thus greatly reducing nuisance alarms. Attack is deterred through sending a regulated electric pulse around the power fence approximately every second. These pulses give a short, non-lethal shock, making it impossible to climb the fence.
PIDS are designed for detection alone and usually come in one of two forms, either fence mounted or buried cable. This type of system works by measuring changes occurring outside its standard condition and programmed allowances, signalling an alarm event when its parameters are exceeded. The alarm processing software will reject environmental conditions such as changes in temperatures and disturbances caused by wind and rain. Detection parameters can be set to achieve the best balance between probability of detection and nuisance alarms.
All these systems are available in both single and multi zone ranges and can be installed as a stand-alone system or directly interfaced with other types of intruder alarm, access control, or integrated security system (e.g. CCTV) for arming and disarming zones, alarm monitoring and signalling. There is also a system available that facilitates integration with other building management systems
