Pigmented acoustic plaster used at BMA Head Office

Pigmented acoustic plaster used at BMA Head Office

BMA Head Office on Tavistock Square was undergoing a major refit part of which was a complete refurbishment of the Great Hall. We were contacted by HOK International Architects, whose specification was for a pigmented acoustic plaster to reduce ambient noise within the chamber.

The substrate was such that mechanical and adhesive were used to fix the 30mm base fibre board within the coffers. Delicate masking of the outer areas took place prior to plaster spraying of both the main hall and peripheral areas. A complimentary pigmented plaster was sprayed to the periphery.

The reduction of ambient noise was above specification and the aesthetic result was extremely pleasing as can be evidenced by the image. To view other acoustic installations visit www.acousticplaster.co.uk.
