All of Fassa Bortolo’s plasterboard is manufactured in a factory that combines innovative technology with the strictest environmental and safety standards. It was designed to cause minimum impact on the environment: the gypsum mines use an underground roadheader to avoid the use of explosives and the material is brought to the factory by an underground conveyor belt to avoid transportation by lorry.
Gypsotech®, the Fassa Bortolo plasterboard system has different ranges and classes of plasterboard, classified according to EN520 which together provide a solution for the requirements of any project be it for standard rooms, damp conditions, with high mechanical resistance, fire or sound proofing etc.
The liner on the plasterboard is made from 100% recycled paper and additives such as water, corn starch and glass fibres are all atoxic and harmless.
Gypsolignum ® is the newest product in the Gypsotech® arsenal. The board is a mix of gypsum with fibreglass, vermiculite, waterproofing agents and wood flour additives and high-strength lining paper.
This unique plasterboard is rated as DEFH1IR. It has excellent mechanical, damp and fire resistance as well as sound proofing qualities, thus making it an all-round solution in projects which require two or more of those properties at once.
