Platform Retracting Stair Lift

Sesame Access Systems offers retracting stairs with the main goal being to offer pedestrian and wheelchair users access to a building all in the one space. When the lift is not being used the full width of the staircase can be used by pedestrians.

The retracting stairs and platform lift can be clad in whatever material the client specifies - anything from carpet through to marble.

The design is bespoke depending on each site’s details. The standard stair width is 1,000mm but this can be changed depending on the site’s requirements. The tread and height of each step is also variable depending on the site.

The speed at which the stairs extend and retract is variable however restricted to a maximum of 0.15m/s – meeting British Standards and Part M of building regulations.
